Prep Workshop:
Jump-start
your CSA experience by learning how to
prepare your kitchen for the abundance of your weekly share. CSA members are invited to spend the
afternoon learning which kitchen tools are most helpful, which
techniques
create quick, easy access to your veggies, what simple recipes are best
for
each veggie, and a few convenient preservation techniques.
Come out, meet some of your fellow CSA
members, and get started eating nutritious local veggies!

Preservation Workshops:
Pickling:
When
you think of pickles, you may think of cucumbers. But,
if done properly, you can pickle just
about anything! Join CMF for an afternoon of pickling some of the
treasures
from the farm. You’ll learn safe, easy
ways to make quick pickles and storage pickles using our veggies and
herbs. There is nothing you may enjoy
more than opening your jars of pickled CMF veggies come February!

Canning
Tomatoes and Pesto:
Canning
tomatoes and pesto is a classic and simple
food preservation technique. Join CMF for an afternoon of canning whole
tomatoes, tomato pastes, tomato sauces, and pesto.
You are sure to leave this workshop with
confidence in your tomato canning abilities, knowledge of the use of
the hot
water bath canning technique, and a jar or two full of sun drenched
tomatoes.

Rebecca
Brenner will be teaching all of the food classes here at the farm.
Bio:
Rebecca is a nutritionist and writer,
interested
in reviving do-it-yourself projects in her kitchen, her home, and her
community. She owns Park City Holistic Health, through which she works
to
create nutritious, environmentally sound practices with individuals,
families, and
community organizations. She writes a
monthly nutrition column – The Alchemical Kitchen – for Catalyst
Magazine
through which she explores the lineage, nature, and spirit of food, as
well as
